The weekend is almost upon us and for this edition of Moshtix Weekender, we're celebrating the extremely rich and diverse live music offering that Australia has to offer.

With one of the nations biggest music industry gatherings, BIGSOUND drawing to a close, the moshtix team thought it would be a perfect time to highlight some of the best local musical talents across the country that you can catch a glimpse of this weekend.


NSW

Get trapped in a world of emotive electronica with the mesmerising voice of Melbourne singer-songwriter, Woodes, at Leadbelly, tonight from 7 pm. Tonight iconic Sydney band Conics make a return to the live stage for one night only at Oxford Art Factory while Melbourne quartet, Neighbourhood Youth bring some indie-rock vibes to the stage at Rad Bar this Saturday.




VIC

The Devil Goat Family String Band kick things off this Saturday at the Spotted Mallard, bringing the crowd a taste of traditional bluegrass and fiddle tunes. Melbourne based soul artist, Michaela Jayde celebrates the Queen Of Soul, Aretha Franklin, alongside her incredible 8-piece band at The Toff In Town, and on Sunday night, local garage-psych crew The Vacant Smiles are back to showcase their brand new single 'So Tired of Sleeping In' at Boney.



QLD

Crooked Colours have returned after an impressive 83 shows and festivals throughout Australia, United States, UK and Europe. Catch them tomorrow night at The Met.



SA

Catch the final two nights of Pilgrimage, where Adelaide group Bjear explore what it means to perform and create something special, showcasing a bunch of local talent. Sydney-based artist Kota Banks takes to the stage at Rocket Bar and Rooftop tonight and Adelaide Hip Hop queen Tkay Maidza performs at Fat Controller on Saturday night.



ACT

Freshly back from the US, MAXO brings his 'Never Ever' tour back home to Canberra. Catch his truly invigorating performance at Mr Wolf this Saturday.



TAS

Triple ARIA Award-winning Adelaide blues/roots band The Audreys play a special show at Republic Bar tonight. Ticket sales close at 8 pm.
