COMPETITION: Win Your Way To Huon Valley's Mid-Winter Fest
Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival has launched its 2019 program and we're definitely impressed by what they have in store this year.
The three-day festival, held in the heart of Huon Valley, just south of Hobart celebrates the region's long apple heritage, drawing on pagan traditions from the cider-producing regions of south-west England.
The festival kicks off on Friday 12 July and runs till Sunday 14 July. See the burning of 'Big Willie' - the 15m tall effigy, indulge in a Mid-Winter banquet showcasing the fresh produce of Huon Producers Network and catch live performances by Aussie bush punk rockers Handsome Young Strangers, Balkan/Latin gypsy outfit Hello Tut-Tut, all-acoustic 10 piece Hot Potato Band, plus ABC Kids' Lah-Lah's Big Band.
Festival-goers are also encouraged to enter the Apple Valley Sculpture Competition, with $6,000 in prize money up for grabs. P.S. If you dress up in a pagan-inspired outfit you'll also go into the running to win a share of over $2,000. How good is that?!
To celebrate the launch of this years program, we're giving one lucky Mosher the chance to win the ultimate Mid-Winter experience including a $500 pre-paid card, the cost of your tickets refunded and free cider for the weekend (5 ciders per person, per day).
To enter all you have to do is purchase a ticket HERE before Thursday 30 May 2019 at 12 Noon (AEST).
