To celebrate the release of their recently recorded 'Live' album, The Bearded Gypsy Band will be performing a special celebratory set of tunes at the Gov on Thursday January 24th. Sharing the evening with the gypsies will be the incomparable 'Max Savage and the False Idols' and the evocative 'Monkey Puzzle Tree'.

During 2012 The Bearded Gypsy Band were selected as one of 'Rip It Up's 2012 Hot Six' and have performed at the Illawarra Folk Festival, WOMADelaide, Brunswick Music Festival, National Folk Festival, Apollo Bay Music Festival, Harvest Festival and toured extensively up and down Australia's east coast while all studying at university.

They're super keen to kick off 2013 with a memorable new 'Live ' Cd launch and invite all to come and join the evening's festivities with dancing and rollicking fun times.

Inspired by the likes of Django Reinhardt and folk music from around the planet, The Bearded Gypsy Band play an eclectic mix of tearaway original tunes with Celtic, Jazz, Blues, Roots and gypsy influences.

Get along to the Gov on Thursday 24th January from 7.30 to enjoy these three sensational Adelaide bands whip up a musical storm .
