Lucha Libre aka Mexican Wrestling has arrived to Melbourne!

www.MexicanWrestlingMasks.com.au in conjunction with Melbourne City Wrestling and Aztec Electronic Music are going locos by putting up a Mexican Wrestling Fiesta to celebrate Mexico's important defeat against the French invasion: Cinco de Mayo (5th of May, 1862), a real Mexican Milestone. 

We also decided to give something back to Mexico so a percentage of our ticket sales are going to Mision Mexico. For more info:www.lovelifehope.com

Lucha Libre Espectacular will have more than 10 professional 'Luchadores' (wrestlers), dressed in the traditional Mexican outfits which include the famous Mexican Wrestling Masks. 

Wrestling Event will be followed by a Mexican party with: 

Nahuatl Sound System (Mexico): Mexican born and Melbourne based - Fernando Perez aka Nahuatl Jaguar has been producing music with the name of Nahuatl Soundsystem and has performed with a crew of up to 10 guest musicians on stage during his productions. Not only he has been a very supportive and crucial part in the global nu-cumbia movement and pioneering the "Aztek style of Dub" with Nahuatl Soundsystem but also keeping himself very busy with his label with 6 top quality releases and organizing diverse musical events during the year that revolutionize under the ////Aztek Electronic Music proposal.

Mexican Music Man (Mexico): Alejandro Espino is The Real Mariachi all the way from Tijuana into Australia. As featured at Nova Radio with Kate and Hughesy.

Paz (Australia): Melbourne DJ / producer, genre smashing upfront music for clubs, festivals and bars. Always appreciative of hip hop, dance-hall and bass sounds, but by no means afraid of pop, world and regional club music and all genres of music's past. Paz has a 15+ history representing the 1's and 2's and the digital 0's and 1's, not afraid of new technology or hybrid sounds. A constant updated crate has led to countless performances alongside International bands and DJ's. 

Saca la Mois Dj! (Switzerland): is an internationally known DJ of Tropical Bass and Cumbia. Regularly tours Australian and European festivals/clubs, and has DJed alongside the likes of Munchi, Ghislain Poirier, El Hijo de la Cumbia, The Peronists, Makossa&Megablast, Nortec Collective and Celso Pina y Su Ronda Bogota.
Saca La Mois DJ!! is also a producer in his own right with the CUMBIA COSMONAUTS (Chusma Records / Scattermusic)

Burundanga (Colombia): Lucas Jack Posada, the main man behind 'Play Native' a house -tech house night at Loop Bar with latin inspired music. Burundanga plays cumbia and latin music with an electronic edge and will be sure to make you move your hips. 

Sonidero Esperanza (Mexico): All the way from Mexico City! Sonidero Esperanza is a neo-cumbia project that mixes classic cumbia, mexican norteno and tropical sounds all blended with techno & electronic beats.

What can you expect...?

Expect the classic evil vs good tale from Mexican Lucha Libre! The 'Rudos' (bad guys) against the 'Tecnicos' (good guys).

Expect Mexican folklore! You will see Luchadores and Enmascarados (masked wrestlers) doing a combination of sport, entertainment and dramatic storytelling all rolled up into a flamboyant display, wild and highly flying insanity. 

Expect a combination of various fighting techniques like wrestling, judo, jujitsu, grappling, kickboxing and boxing. It is a mixture of all these combat art forms blended with the elements of soap opera, dramatic storytelling, physical comedy, incredible athletics, suspense and intrigue. 

Expect 'Dos de Tres Caidas' (2 out of 3 falls), 'suicidas' (suicide moves), 'desnucadoras' (power bombs), 'patadas voladoras' (flying kicks), 'filomenas' (spin kicks), 'quebradoras' (spinning back breaker), 'tapatias', 'huracarranas' and 'manita de puerco'!

Expect awesome Mexican music... 'esto si que es una fiesta y no chingaderas!'
